Glaitness School is situated in the city of Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands, just off the north east coast of Scotland. We are a primary school of roughly 200 pupils, with 13 classes from Nursery to Primary 7. We are the oldest pupils in the school, and are aged between 11 and 12. Here is a photo of some of us dressed up in hats that we created out of recycled material for “Make a Difference Day” in which we focused on various eco issues.
This is our last year before moving on to Kirkwall Grammar School, and as a result we have the opportunity to go on a school trip to an outdoor centre in the Cairngorms, called Nethybridge. We will be staying there for a week, and have set up this blog site to keep people informed about our trip.
